Yard signs and bumper stickers.
I get mad when people leave them in public areas way way after an election. The yard signs from both parties looked so different the morning after the election. The Obama ones looked like they represented the true pulse of the country and the world. They reflected the hope of change.

The McCain ones looked tragic, empty, defeated and just wrong. Just like the Republican party itself. I cringe and laugh and mock the people who still drive around with W04 stickers on their cars.

But this time, I'm kind of OK for now with the McCain Palin signs posted real high up on telephone poles, that I know won't be removed any time soon.

To me, and I'm sure to others, those signs will represent a great failure in this country, of a ticket, a party and a philosophy. And for now, they can stay there as a monument for all to see what a true disgrace the Republican party has become to this world.

1. What I find unbelievable are those people who
still have Bush/Cheney bumper stickers on their cars. One guys McCain sign that is posted to a tree in his yard can stay there too, because it is posted right next to a confederate flag. That one says a lot.

2. There's Still A Kerry/Edwards Sticker On A Street Sign
Not far from here...been there since '04 and the village never attempted to remove it or replace the sign. And I sure didn't mind.

I got a kick out of my GOOP neighbor...he put a Geezer/Grifter sign on his lawn (actually only McCain, not Palin)...and when I woke up early Wednesday, the sign was already in the trash. I'm just pissed I didn't have the pleasure of seeing him throw it out.

My bets are many of the bumper stickers will vanish soon...while "W" won and it looked cool to have that sticker along with your Made-In-China "Support Our Troops" magnet, few GOOPers have many fond memories for their 2004 ticket.

Cheers...

3. I believe that if you post ANY camapign sign, you should be responsible for removing it
the NEXT day. I have always done this. My Obama/Biden sign was down on Thursday and in the shed (I can't bear to throw it away).

In the past when I've put signs up on public property (where allowed) I went around and picked them all up.

4. Hope you keep the O/B sign as a souvenir.
