Some tidbits I heard on RW radio today
I drove my usual 2 hours to see my grandson and listened to Bill Bennett on the way there.
His basic premise was to tell his listeners to 'hold fast' and 'gird their loins', and then he spoke about how the Republican party needs to recognize that having old white men as their only candidates just isnt going to work anymore. He basically said that is why the democrats won. which is, of course, insane.
Nonetheless, he asked his listeners to call him with the names of young, hip, people of colour or not, Republicans that could breath some fresh faces into their party in 2012. A lot of people called and said 'Bobby Jindahl, Sonny Perdue' and a few vague others.
On the way home I heard Hannity. He had Coulter and some other guy on.
They were appalled that Rahn Emanuel was selected because they said he was too liberal!!!
Okay if Emanuel, warhawk extraordinaire, is too liberal, then Hitler was a moderate.
Anyway, Coulter went on to say she is from the middle. She actually said she is a moderate.
So did Hannity.
Basically they think anyone just left of outright totalitarian facism is a moderate to them.
so thats my right wing radio report for today.

2. Their placement on any left-right spectrum doesn't really apply . . .
To Coulter and Hannity, since they are entirely fictional characters portrayed by performers who happen to have same names, purely for monetary gain.

Sort of like Stephen Colbert, except that he's funny and they're sociopathic.

4. yep, billo is a moderate too, in fact,
according to him, he's the most moderate person ever, and he thinks President Elect Obama is a great guy that has had way too much thrown at him.

I killed my work radio today. The only thing it brought in was AM hate and I couldn't take it anymore.

Peace

5. The poor little dears
Just because the Democrats have outpolled the Republicans in four out of the last five presidential elections, they think they're still entitled to call all the shots. Silly billies. Odd that they still have advertisers and get air time. For now.

6. Now, how shallow is that. How about MC Hammer?
He might be available.

7. I heard a RW tidbit on the way home today, too. It was the funniest
damn thing I've heard in a while. Michael Savage was going on about his theory that McCain's staffers were all Democratic plants...working for Obama. These Dem plants evidently pushed McCain to pick Palin, knowing that it would kill the experience argument and win the election for Obama. And this will all be proven when these aforementioned Dem plants all end up employed by major Obama donors.

Then he started on the rift about re-enacting the Fairness Doctrine, and it was a plan cooked up by Democrats AND Republicans, to get the smart people like him off the radio, because they were bringing the truth to the people. And if the Fairness Doctrine is put back in place, then he is going to sue to get his equal time on all the major networks.

Oh, and if the Fairness Doctrine comes back, there are 5, count 'em, FIVE talk radio host who will join him in filing a suit against...wait for it...MEDIA MATTERS, under the RICO statutes (which happen to be criminal, not civil), for conspiracy. And they have a good chance of winning!

It was the funniest stuff I've heard come out of my radio. I couldn't even get a good cardio workout from it, because it didn't make me angry. He has so clearly gone so far over the edge that it's like listening to a comedy show.

That's my contribution to the RW radio report for today.
