I really think it's time for Catholics to STAND UP. (RE: PROP 8)
I'm not telling DUers to do as I did in 2004 and walk away from the Catholic church. But what if all of us who got married in the Church made our voice heard. I'm totally embarrassed by the Knights of Columbus. I cannot believe they spend all this money when the food banks are empty, to deny WHAT REALLY IS A CIVIL UNION!

Think about it, I got married first by a Justice of the Peace and later by a Catholic Deacon. My first marriage was NOT EVEN RECOGNIZED by the Church. They considered it "living in sin." SO wtf with this. Why are they even concerned with Civil Marriage, it is NOT a Sacrament, why don't they do some of Jesus's work for a change?

Sorry but I'm fed up with them. Don't be like the Catholics in Nazi Germany. At least write a letter. At least let the Knights hear what you think. Is this the kind of think you want the Church to be spending money on?

1. My cousin, who did a lot of volunteer work for KoC
told them 'do not call me again to volunteer for anything because it will be a big fat NO' because of the money spent on 8. I saw him on Saturday and he was getting pissed just re-telling the story.

4. Awesome! When you think of the money and resources wasted
on this, and they don't consider anything outside of the the Sarcrament issued by the holy Church a marriage anyway!

2. Well, since the church has yet to come to terms with the use of
birth control I doubt they'll change their thoughts on Prop 8. I pay no attention to Rome....

3. I know but my point is why do Catholics just sit around silent?
Everybody just goes, that's the way it is....we can't change Rome but we can voice our opinion when the Church takes a stand against bigotry.
