Statement out from Sen. Reid on Lieberman...

Statement out from Sen. Reid ...

Today Senator Lieberman and I had the first of what I expect to be several conversations. No decisions have been made. While I understand that Senator Lieberman has voted with Democrats a majority of the time, his comments and actions have raised serious concerns among many in our caucus. I expect there to be additional discussions in the days to come, and Senator Lieberman and I will speak to our caucus in two weeks to discuss further steps.

2. He's an Indie, not a Dem.
I'd like to see his voting record. "most of the time" just doesn't sound right.

5. Technically, he's a Dem
The buzzard quietly re-registered after his reelection.

12. He calls himself an 'independant Dem'.
I haven't seen a photo-op with a Dem in years. He's always appearing with repugs.

3. That sounds very serious
We know they discussed JL's future and it sounds bleak. Harry definitely held the stronger hand in that discussion.

6. Very diplomatic of Reid
I'd rather have seen him cut Lieberman dead, but you can't have everything, and who knows, there might be something Lieberman can do in the future. I'm inclined to think not; men without scruples, principles or allies aren't usually very useful. But he is still a senator for a little while longer.

7. I would think that Lieberman has ..
made his bed. He's had his day of putting the screws to the Democratic party. Both he and Harry should have some integrity. Cut him lose, and let him find his way to the other side.

10. Pardon my language
Harry Reid is a gutless shitstain waste of a Senate Majority Leader. Someone, anyone, please challenge this sorry excuse for a bastard for the leadership spot. He simply cannot do the job. He's worse than fucking useless.

15. Here's the offer he made to Lieberman that he can't refuse
At least this is what I would offer him:

1 - Vote even once against cloture when Repubs pull a filibuster and you lose your committees.

2 - Make any public statements that are even remotely critical of the Obama Administration and you are totally out of the Democratic Caucus.

3 - Reveal this discussion and you are dead meat to Democrats.

Get back to me tomorrow.
