Are there any true numbers of troop deaths and injured ?
I see all sorts of numbers , 3,200 dead and 30,000 wounded and then 200,000 wounded , even on their charts in the senate or in the plame hearings .

I heard there were two books kept by the pentagon too .

Cannot someone get the true numbers and keep a clear record it would at least help end this damn war , well maybe .

2. I have been saying this all along...
I would not put anything past these liars. I have always believed that the numbers were higher and that they will not let it be known and have hidden the true numbers because many would really be outraged...

4. I trust the numbers from NYGirl's link, as far as fatalities
but they probably have no real way to know the true injury numbers. As if anyone does.

5. Is anyone counting those who die from accidents like rollovers?
My understanding is that those are not being counted as casualties of war because they didn't occur directly in battle. That's not only a terrible way to look at it (in the first place, they would not have died if they had not been (a) in the military and (b) in a war zone) but it affects survivor's benefits.

Definitely not counted are those who die of their wounds after returning home and those who die of suicide.

As a consequence, I have no faith whatsoever in the "official" numbers. I believe the deaths of American service personnel are higher.

Oh, and don't forget the civilian support services -- which includes everyone from the cooks to the contractors to the mercenaries. There have been many, many deaths among them.

7. I would almost say it's safe to say
Multiply the numbers told by 10 and it may be close to the truth , same thing with Iraqi deaths , I hear from 100,00 to 600,000 .

What can anyone expect , they have lied about EVERYTHING so far to date .
