I donated to Barack Obama yesterday...

Has anyone else contributed money, or gotten involved in supporting him? I still don't know all that much about him, and if I were to vote in a primary today, I'd probably vote for Edwards.

But, I want Obama's voice to be heard. Even if he doesn't end up being "my" candidate, I'm encouraged that the Democrats have talented people coming up in the ranks.

I had the same feelings about Harold Ford, but I think he's gone to the dark side (relatively speaking).

1. I donated to Dennis Kucinich.
As long as he is in the race he is the only one getting my hard earned.

3. so far, Dennis' camp is the only one to call me
looking for a donation.

Unfortunately, I'm not in a good place financially (Pretty soon I'll have to make payments on those student loans), and can't contribute.

I also haven't decided whether he's the candidate I'll support...that'll depend on who else might join the race (Clark?) and what those in the race have to say.

2. I Offer Another Talented Democrat
Edited on Sat Mar-17-07 11:22 AM by eringer
The Republicans see no one to fear in the 2008 election. This is because Martin O'Malley has not entered the race. Unfortunately, the word I received that he was not going to enter the race until 2012. I am afraid that this country can't wait that long. I hope he reconsiders. If you do some research, you will see that O'Malley took Bush on early when Bush established a shell game that screwed cities out of Federal monies. The Republicans tried to smear O'Malley and it backfired. O'Malley, in my opinion, is bulletproof. He has a good record as the mayor of Baltimore, he beat out a popular sitting governor and he has the family life (and values) that Americans cherish in a candidate. He has never been in the Senate, so flip-flopping on issues doesn't apply.
O'Malley08!

4. I answered Obama's first mailing with a check.
I like his youth and vitality, I like his easy way with words, I like his ideas and vision for the future. And I think he can win!

5. I will donate to Obama today

because he has the heart, brains, and spirit to be one of the great American presidents. What a contrast.
When I feel down (small business person here, and let me tell you, W's reign has hurt) I watch Obama and feel hope again.

Thank you Barack for running! And thanks for putting Faux noise in its place. We really need what this man has to give. God bless and protect him and his family.
