Edit: I forgot to mention the Obama poll has Obama McCain tied. Omaha's ONE rouge EC vote is up for grabs!

First this then the Move On letter below.

Cook Report updates Esch-Terry Race to "tossup"

I wanted to share with you a memo our Communications Office just sent
to members of the media regarding some important breaking news. The
Cook Report has changed its ranking and now says the Esch-Terry race
is a tossup!

Our campaign is in striking distance, but we need your support. Please

Sincerely,

Jim Rogers

Re: More Good News for Esch: Cook Report Says Esch-Terry is a Tossup

Today, the Cook Report, which evaluates Congressional campaigns,
changed its ranking of the Esch-Terry race from "Lean Republican" to
"Tossup." This is the second major political news organization to
declare the campaign in Nebraska's Congressional District a tossup in
as many days. Yesterday, the Rothenberg Report ranked the race a
tossup.

Today's Cook Report said "the presence of an active presidential race
in this district is complicating ability to get his message
out" and said the district was "giving the GOP major heartburn."

Republicans' heartburn isn't nearly as bad as the pain Nebraska
families are feeling. The worst economic crisis since the Great
Depression has left families across the Second Congressional District
struggling to pay the bills and make ends meet. And Lee Terry's
shameful record on veterans' issues, children's health care and his
support for plans to privatize Social Security are motivating
Nebraskans to vote for change.

From Move On:

Progressives have a big job next Tuesday. Not only do we need to elect Barack Obama, but we have to also give him a solid majority in Congress to enact the sweeping changes America needs. In Nebraska, that means pulling out all the stops to help Democrat Jim Esch and other candidates.

Right now, Jim Esch needs volunteers to win, and Obama needs Jim Esch in office. Your help in these last few days is critical.

Can you volunteer with the Esch campaign to help get out the vote? Click here to sign up:

Thank you for all you do.
