There are NO "undecided" voters at this point..
It's all a little dance that reporters love to do every election season.. Some people who get polled, probably truly DON'T CARE who gets elected, or don't like EITHER..

The "undecideds" in every poll ballyhooed on TV, are probably people who are registered (or SAY they are), but will not even bother to vote if there's no close parking place, or if it's raining/snowing/windy, or if there's a long line..

Anyone who says they are truly undecided at this point in THIS election, is probably lying.

"Refused to state" would be a fairer representation of these people.

3. Sure there are.
It isn't valid to assume others make decisions the same way we do.

4. There are, I bet, a lot of procrastinators.
People who care little for politics until it's time to vote.

And then there are just plain, old-fashioned dumbasses.

2. Disagree.

I know a couple of them. A couple of life long republicans who are just having trouble crossing the line...but probably will.

5. They are probably afraid to tell you they won't vote for the "black guy"
or the "old guy" with Barbie as his sidekick..

admitting either betrays a bias they might not want you to know about.

7. I believe them.
We've known each other long enough that either wouldn't be afraid to voice an non-PC opinion.

They are the type that only pays attention to politics a couple of weeks before they have to vote. Sort of like skipping class all semester and trying to cram for the finals.

6. well . . . having worked the phones a cople of nights this week,
I would beg to differ.

You obviously are passionate about the race. But, you should be more aware of folks that do not share your passion.

There are those that are undecided - even at this late date. There are those that will be 1-issue voters. There will be those that will vote based on race, or age, or gender, or D vs. R.

There are millions of voters.

To state no one is undecided is simple denying reality.

9. My husband is here right now asking who he should vote for.
Edited on Thu Oct-30-08 04:55 PM by lwfern
He has his absentee voter ballot, he has to turn it in tomorrow. McCain's out of the question, but the husband's not sure if he's voting Obama or third party at this point, because of Obama's votes (funding the Iraq war, FISA, etc) and his position on leaving 50,000 troops in Iraq while expanding the Afghanistan occupation.

I don't know why you are lumping people who don't like either candidate together with people who don't care who gets elected, won't vote if the weather's bad, or are lying about being registered. There are legitimate reasons why a person might not like either candidate. In some cases these are people who are better informed than the campaign volunteers (judging from the calls we've gotten).

10. Yes there are. I wrote a post about this yesterday. I walk and knock
every day andthey are not stupid or racist. They are struggling to survive and put food on the table. Barack and Mccain are not to center of their ecistence and they are also undecided on local votes. They are actually grateful for folks stopping by and giving them info. They are actually thioughtful and are giving consideration without "hype". They are struggling to find time to even read about the election. They will decide when they have to.
