I even had any but checked and there were still ten left over from the late, late primary season. Now these ten used to post all the time, I mean a whole lot, and had high post counts at the time (1000+) so not obvious newly registered trolls. But, man, they posted some vile anti-Obama stuff purportedly supporting Clinton.

So my question is: where did they go in the past 4-5 months or so? Are they just gone? Never really Dems at all despite their massive posting through the primaries? Sulking somewhere? Who were these strange people really?

1. dunno, but some of the biggest flamefests I've seen of late have "ignored"
as every other poster.

2. I just checked the list again and eight of them had been tombstoned
I guess I'll release the other two since they are still members in good standing. What the heck.

3. After the primaries were over I cleaned out my Iggy list. Then selectively added a few...
... in the next few weeks. You're right-- for whatever reason, the really vile ones seem to be gone, sulking under a rock or something. The few people who are on my list seldom show up in threads I'm interested in these days, so maybe it was a case of divergent interests all along. Or maybe --LOL-- they've got me on ignore too and therefore don't see my own posts.

4. I'll disagree on the "not obviously new"
part - there were a boatload of folks who must have posted 24/7 because they had 1000+ counts and registration dates only a couple of months old.

And they weren't all anti-Obama posters, either - it was an equal opportunity slam-fest.

5. ah, I was on other blogs, but I will bet
you yourself made some pretty nasty fact-free rants about "that woman" (ever wonder where "that one" came from? guess it's a case of your roosters coming home to roost...) or agreed with some or repeted the lines from them. Trying to pretend there are any innocents in that is the height of McPalin-ness...

7. Sorry, wrong person. I've always been quite fond of the Clintons and never made any
"nasty fact-free rants" about "that woman". I resent your fact-free accusation. My posting record stands for itself.

In explanation of my criteria: I'm just a numbers guy and it was absolutely clear to me after the Wisconsin primary that Obama would be our party's nominee. Any other result was mathematically impossible due to the proportional voting system. This is why some of the viler attacks tearing him down with false accusations and slurs bothered me enough to add these particular folks to the ignore list. And eight of them were tombstoned as disruptors. Those hundreds who continued to support any other candidate against these long odds but were not vile about it were obviously left off the list and I continued to read their arguments.

8. They were really only supporting a candidate who happened to be a Dem
is my guess.

I just learned recently that someone has me on ignore. It kinda hurt my feelings a bit 'cause I try not to be too obnoxious here.

9. Locking
Aren't we all glad that hellish primary is over and we are united behind our Obama-Biden ticket? Well, aren't we? I know that I am and the mods would like to keep it that way.

Cheers,
