Cook Report: Another week, another 10 House races move toward Dem side
Cook Political House Updates
The House: One Week To Go

October 28, 2008
At a time when Democrats enjoy a wide lead in money and overwhelming atmospheric advantages, Republican tactical miscalculations weigh much more heavily than those made by Democrats. With one week left until the general election, GOP problems continue to stack up. House Editor David Wasserman releases ratings changes in ten districts. Our current outlook is now a Democratic gain of between 24 and 30 seats in the House.

Ratings Changes
CA-04 OPEN (Doolittle) Lean Republican to Toss Up
FL-24 Tom Feeney Toss Up to Lean Democratic
KY-02 OPEN (Lewis) Lean Republican to Toss Up
KY-03 John Yarmuth Lean Democratic to Likely Democratic
NE-02 Lee Terry Lean Republican to Toss Up
NY-26 OPEN (Reynolds) Lean Republican to Toss Up
PA-10 Chris Carney Toss Up to Lean Democratic
PA-12 John Murtha Solid Democratic to Likely Democratic
VA-02 Thelma Drake Lean Republican to Toss Up
VA-05 Virgil Goode Likely Republican to Lean Republican
