Ok, I need a little help understanding the setup here...
I know I should probably already know this, but, how exactly to all the Forums work. It seems there are little symbols on different ones. Some have little heads, some are gray, some are groups, some are forums. Is there an easy way to keep track of new threads and such. And I know I have asked this before, but can I just mark one thread at a time or does the entire forum/group always get marked? I can't seem to get it right.

1. After over 700 posts, I would think you had the hang of it.
I like to use the little bar near the top that says Home > Discuss > General Discussion to navigate the different areas.

My $.02 worth.

7. Sorry about that...
I'm probabbly better at not being offended by others that I am at not being offensive to others.

Please forgive me.

2. Have you read the help files on Mark?
And don't feel bad about not knowing something after 700+ posts - it took me FOREVER to figure out what K & R meant since it was often used without any explanation for newbies. People who visit a lot of discussion forums don't remember/realize how confusing they can be for the uninitiated.

5. Our handy DU Glossary is both informative and entertaining
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_oet&address=358x190

as for the grey people icons you see next to names, that denotes a Moderator and the Admins have lil blue guys.

you can mark a forum or a thread or the entire site depending on when you hit the "Mark" icon

If you are a donor you can customize "My forums" by going to the 'lobby' and clicking the link on the right, next to the forum name "Add to My Forums" for up to 15 forums. They will then show up at the top of the threads list for easy access.

Hope that helps.....
