1. I joined.

However, it was only because I wanted to see what internet message boards looked like in 1994. :rofl:

It was amusing for 10 minutes, but I had to get outta there and back to the 21st century.

2. I joined in 2002, shortly after I joined DU, to infiltrate but never even

posted a response, much less a thread. It was too nauseating.

3. That's not what this thread is really about, I don't think.

Not trying to be rude, but I think the intent of the OP is to ask if any people joined this site with the intent to freep us, but ended up staying and not trolling. :)

As for FR, I will go there once in a great while when someone here links to it with something especially absurd, but the very layout of the place gives me a headache and that's before you take their content into account. :puke:

4. Thanks...I'm not a great writer and I guess I struck again...my OP

was unfortunately not clear enough, which is a shame, because I'd really like to know if anyone joined here as a freep and was converted.

5. I joined

I was a Freeper and am still in the group.  But they became
more and more crazy and less relative to the truth.  I finally
figured out that most of them were trailer park trash trying
to act like they were of the elite. Nothing wrong with living
in a trailer.  I did for many years while I was in the
military.  However, I did meet a lot of trailer park trash who
lived among us.  Getting back to my story, I met Obama through
my wife who became a member of DU prior to me.  I started
listening to him and he really moved me.  I am a conservative
Christian who voted for Bush each time.  I now have been
enlightened and I am truly an Obama supporter.  I truly
believe that he is the one that will best serve us and make a
change.  I am sick of the last 8 years.  I am a Reagan
democrat who has become an Obama independent.  I really feel
the man is what is right.  Oh, I cannot stand John Mc Bush or
Sarah Mc Liar.
