I was in a mid-size town in NE Texas today....saw a sign..."Time for a Change...Vote Republican".
Now, unless I am Rip Van Winkle...isn't that more of the same?:wtf:

a popular mantra to run on, Bush did it in 2000, Clinton did the same in 92. Seeing as how change is hard to narrow down much, McCain would indeed be a change from Bush, simply due to differant name at the top of the ticket. Policy-wise we know better obviously, but change is not a hard threshold to meet apparently. Repubs have been trying to pretend like it was the Nazi Socialist party running the country for the past 8 years, but even some lifelong conservatives are calling them on their bullshit

pointed out last night, having Bush as a guest of honor for your campaigning in the Senate was the "in" thing to do among Conservatives in 2002, good ol' boy Mitch was a particularly active repub with having a habit of making appearances with Bush to help get elected, and now hes running as an 'independant fiscal conservative,' yet he still receives financing and ads from the dreaded RNC
