Sometimes there really is wisdom in keeping one's powder dry.
Or maybe that's better said ..... "There is wisdom in considering certain powder to be dry."

I'm talking about the planned event for the start of the local 11 pm noozhour. Barack Obama and Bill Clinton. On stage. Together.

It occurs to me that this may be a stroke of absolute brilliance.

McLame is reduced to having his chief pollster lying to the faithful in some bullshit memo.

Obama buys a half hour of time on pretty much every teevee in the country. And if **that's** not enough, he does an event guaranteed to get cutaways from the local 11 pm hair spray model just as everyone is adjusting their nighties in preparation for a good night's rest.

Obama and The Dawg.

Not your usual late night pals.

Live.

On Stage.

See It Here.

Talk about it AAAALLLLLLL weekend

The Big Dawg becomes the glue that makes the 30 minutes stick in the nooz cycle.

1. I have to admit that Obama turned it into an art. The difference is he did go on to fire his guns!!!
Everyone on both sides has to admit that Obama has turned a lot of political conventional wisdom on it's head.

I think the guy is a genius, frankly.

2. I mean, what a kickass campaign
True brilliance. Absolutely brilliant.

And the two greatest political figures together later tonight - The Big Dawg and our next president, together. We just saw the best 30 minute program in history, and Barack gives us an encore. Just fucking brilliant.

3. I don't get how this schedule is playing out.
Local network stations at 11? Live with Bubba?

Sorry. I'm behind.

4. He and Bubba are doing a live event tonight in Orlando.
They will be onstage together some time after 11 pm.

The hope is that the local stations will cut their local nooz broadcast to Orlando for a few minutes of Barack and The Dawg.
