Tito the Builder "doesn't want handouts". But he took one in 2005.
Today Tito Munoz, owner of Deborn Construction in Woodbridge Va. stated that his big gripe are people wanting handouts from the government.

He didn't mind taking $25000 from the SBA, though:

His business "Deborn Construction" is listed about a third of the way down the page.

p.s. you'll only see this here folks.

4. They don't consider it to be a handout.
Really, the don't. A handout, or welfare, is what other people get, and don't deserve. GOPers are extremely self centered, they feel they deserve any thing can get, fairly or not, because they are better than anyone else, and their success helps the country. Tito doesn't see it as a handout because he is a business owner and is creating jobs. Years ago, my older brother knew a young couple with four young children, who wanted to throw "all those lazy people" off welfare that were "raising their taxes"(actually, they made so little they paid little or nothing in Federal Income tax). When my brother pointed out that they had gotten W.I.C. benefits for three of their four children, and that was considered welfare, they were appalled. " That's not welfare, we need that!" And that's how some people see things, if it helps me, it's fine and necessary, if it helps you, it's a handout.

2. For those who don't know who Tito is
The GOP replaced "joe the plumber" wirh Tito when it was found out what a fraud Joe was.

So who's next in line now that Tito doesn't walk the talk?

3. Not really a "handout"
but it would be interesting to see whether he's made payments on it

5. Not a true handout, yes.
But a good example of 'redistributing the wealth'.

7. The best example of redistributing the wealth is Reagun's
Earned Income Tax Credit.

11. Tito the Builder is Debt Free
He was offered the loan, but never enacted it. He has no outstanding debts. His D&B rating is good. His record is clean.

6. So my tax dollars went to fund his business? What kind of socialism is that?
My partner and I have 3 businesses of our own (with 4 full time equivelent employees) and we've never gotten one dime from SBA or any other program. Just our own damn bootstraps (and his 401K, which got cashed in before everything tanked)

Any yet we're the bleeding heart liberals who want to make sure that there are opportunities for everyone. And Tito's gonna have to go back for more money in this Republican created distressed economy.

8. Tito the Builder Never Took a Handout
An SBA loan is a loan, not a handout. In this case, the loan
was offered through a Dale City, VA bank. It was approved, but
Munoz never enacted the loan. He decided not to use it.
Another fact, Munoz and/or DeBorn Construction have no
outstanding liabilities or liens...no unpaid taxes...no dirt
to dig. He's clean as a whistle. Sorry to disappoint you.
