My waking thoughts were " Less than a week....

I CAN NOT wait to cast my vote for the FIRST African American president of the USA". Then, I thought "We may actually have a young, handsome, INTELLIGENT president." After the last 8 years of having to endure such a moran, this almost seems like a dream. Don't let me wake up. :tinfoilhat:(I can't trust my own excitement.)

1. When should I cast my vote?

I'm here in Fort Lauderdale, I can go to the downtown main library to vote or I can vote a few blocks away on election day. I don't know if it's better to vote now or later since there is speculation of vote manipulation in early as well as timed voting. And who knows if mail in ballots are even counted?

So, what the hell is one to do, please, DU, share with me your reasonings!

3. I have been thinking the same thing....

many people here have been saying to vote Absentee and walk it in to the Election Office. I live in South Jersey, and we usually don't have any problem here. I think I have lost faith in entire voting process.

I can't believe that we've come to the point of being terrified our vote might not be counted in this country. I guess I take for granted being in a solid blue state sometimes.

I'm trying to keep myself busy, but I can only do so many hours of volunteering a day. I feel like a little kid waiting for Christmas.
