I CAST MY VOTE TODAY FOR OBAMA.. I MADE HISTORY

I am part of history today. I voted for Obama here in Florida, but i made sure i didn't go alone. I brought my ENTIRE FAMILY with me,including my grandma and my 19 year old. We were a huuge froup compose of aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, friends and of course, my brother.

When i was at the voting booth and went to optical scanner machine, my eyes got teary and prayed to God that my vote would not be flipped for mccain. I got emotional and at the same time grateful to my party that gave me the opportunity to live this special moment. This indeed will be in the history books and i am so grateful i got live it thru. I am Hispanic and this election has been very special to me personally.

I will continue to work hard for Obama and make this a reality. I am taken NOvember 4th off from work to canvass and GOTV in my state. By eight o' clock i will problably be working in the streets.. but i am fortunate i will be doing so.

6. yes.. it was special.. you know the saying we "latins are too

rowdy.. people were looking at us amazed (or probably to curious) because since we had older generations with us we cleary spoke in Spanish to them... but it was fun because we discussed the amendments and we had the sample ballot with us. The youngest were teaching the elders how to cast their vote and how to cross the arrow lines.. it was very educational...

I clearly said i was taking November 4th off to go canvass for the campaign. I worked all weekend canvassing.. i will do it again Thursday, Saturday and Sunday and taking Tuesday off.

15. absentee ballot

I got mine last week. I filled it out and instead of mailing it, took it down to City Hall and went to the area where people were actively voting and gave it to the city employee who placed it in the box with other votes. It felt great to do that, and to vote for Obama. Now, I just hope everyone will vote early and we can make a difference.

23. Our county doesn't have polling places. It's all mail voting

So we all sat down tonight and voted together in our living room. We researched the local candidates online in the moment. We, of course, already knew who we were voting for in the main election and how we were voting on the initiatives. It was actually quite fun.
