I may agree with you that not much is truly self-reflective or humble. There was a news story about U.S. Marines in the early days of Iraq, each being given a prayer to recite for George Bush by some Christian foundation and which was officially sanctioned by the U.S. military.

If prayer and fasting isn't working on Nov. 3, I suggest they remain in an attitude of prayer and fasting up until the Obama Inaugural. And if the Good Lord hasn't set things to rights by then, they should continue praying and fasting until the Election Day 2012. If their hearts are pure and their bowels are clean, they should have their response by then.

Is it not written that they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as EAGLES? (Emphasis mine.) Surely this means that their prayer and fasting will bring good news to the land of the Eagle, symbol of the United States. Anyone who drops off is surely mocking God and inviting the wrath of the Almighty.

Get fasting, you wing nuts! God, America and everything else is counting on YOU!

Like the faster they pray, the more Prayers Per Minute (PPM).
But that seem to be counterproductive to me.
If they just load God up with all those prayers his servers might lock up and crash and then none of them would get through.

26. I was going to make some chicken and dumplings, gobs of fluffy...

mashed potatoes, half runners and sliced vine ripened tomatoes...home made cat head sized hot rolls dripping with real home made butter, a big triple decker Devil's Food Cake with French crème between the layers and a couple of scoops of hand cranked vanilla Ice Cream and some hot coffee to top it all off. And Then I'll start dinner. Fresh garden salad with my very own special blend of home made thousand island dressing, some left over from lunch cat head hot rolls with real butter, baked sweet potato with more home made butter and gobs of sour cream and a couple of 2" thick slices of blackened prime rib, southern style home made pecan pie and some more hand cranked ice cream on top, hot coffee and a little nap before my bedtime snack.

I won't even talk about the breakfast I had to start out that day...
