2. Probably, because he's "too old" to go to jail but not stay in congress.

3. Hard to say what's in store for ol' Tubes.
Yesterday's decision didn't exactly help him out much.

I hope for a blue flipper in that Senate race, first and foremost. Stevens has polluted the Senate far too long.

5. Senator NO Will Never See A Jail Cell
A lot depends on next Tuesday. If he wins, boooshie won't do a damn thing and let the process play on. If he loses, Senator Tubes To Nowhere will be on that big pardon list on January 19th.

No matter, I don't see Stevens sharing cigarettes with Bubba...he's definitely appealing (and that could drag on past the new years) and will remain free while that process plays out (he's not a flight risk)...and then if his conviction is upheld, I could see his age and fall from grace as being sufficient punishment...maybe he'll get six months probation...and off to the tundra he goes.

9. He is 84- I don't care if he goes to jail
As long as he is kicked out of the Senate.

He can die knowing his legacy is once of disgrace.

11. He is a US Senator who took bribes and lied about it - I want him in prison.
The expansion of his home, which was done at no cost to him by a contractor who had an interest in influencing the Senators votes on many matters, cost more than my home. The senator lied about accepting those valuable gifts on at least 7 occasions. He was convicted for doing so. Why on earth would I not want him in jail? What difference does his age make? I see his imprisonment as a warning to other public servants to obey the law.
