Joe Wilson's report was the truth, as we have seen born out...
Edited on Fri Mar-16-07 06:50 PM by Postman
The Administration's BS accusations about Joe Wilson mean nothing and are intended to act as fodder for their base (for which they have no respect for their intellect) and to cloud the issue for the casual apolitical average doofus.

"Three memos from officials on the ground said no-reports from the U.S. Ambassador to Niger Barbaro Owens-Kirkpatrick, Marine Corps General Carleton Fulford and Ambassador Wilson all concluded a deal was highly unlikely."

http://www.carnegieendowment.org/publications/index.cfm?fa=view&id=1595

Where it counts (under oath in front of Congress and a Special Prosecutor), the BS gets refuted by the facts.

1. I was surprised and slightly disappointed that no one mentioned this

...during the hearing today. Towards the very end, one of the Repugs said something to the effect of "We don't rely on one report for intelligence decisions" and it would have been perfect opportunity to raise the point. Wilson himself has stated that his was one of THREE reports that came to the same conclusion about the alleged attempted sale of Niger yellowcake to Iraq: it never happened.

The question should be: how did the WH lose three reports?

3. yes, and how are people like David Brooks still claiming
Wilson lied, I would like someone to seriously throw that lie back in his face. I am sick
of spin, are they supposed to be reporting the truth, not covering it up.

4. Yeah I saw Brooks tonight
On Jim Lehrer's show saying that Joe Wilson's report was "misleading".

Had to change the channel on barf alert.

5. well, I do think it's an attempt to keep the GOP going
the Brooks of this world have adopted the "I'm with stupid" approach to the Bush administration, they're merely stupid, not over-reaching control freaks bent on destroying
democracy.
