Once more I've been indulging in my guilty pleasure, going over and watching the zoo over at FR. Just watching the mental fuses blow, the back biting and sniping, watching as that entire brainless cancer just implode as reality, for once, starts to become clear is really a fine way of getting a five minute giggle.

Anyhoo as I was wandering around the chaos and carnage, I stumbled across this little gem <http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2115382/posts>. The OP is your standard freeper BS, but what caught my attention is the claim that Zogby has the race tightening down to three points. Of course the source of this supposed Zogby poll was Drudge. However I went over to the Zogby site and what do I find? Why gee, it's October 25 and Zogby has Obama up by 9.5%

These poor deluded fools are so damn gullible. Or so damn lazy that they can't click the mouse to check for themselves. All of this a day after Drudge again crashed and burned. If it wasn't so damn funny, and sadly so damn consequential to the rest of us, these delusions, this stupidity would be pathetic. Sadly though, we've suffered the consequences of such stupid thinking for eight years now and more. It will be nice to have a sense of reality restored to our government and our society. And it is great fun to watch reality dawning on the freepers like the sun dawning over rock mountain.

5. I was at a Republican client's home a couple days ago

We're friends, so we have decided to freely discuss our politics and not let it get in the way of a good friendship. The other day he was ecstatic about a mass email he'd received about how Obama wasn't really an American because of a birth certificate issue (that had been long since discredited). He made me sit there and watch a ten minute video about it, and the whole thing was pure excitement to him.

I didn't bother trying too hard to shatter his illusions, for several unrelated reasons I won't relate here. The point is, even otherwise clear thinking, intelligent, mature adults are being sucked into pure illusion and running with it out of sheer denial.

I could almost feel sorry for them if they weren't so absolutely gullible. Almost. :shrug:
