Thumbs up!
Edited on Sat Oct-25-08 09:00 PM by bigtree

People began lining up for Sen. Barack Obama's 9 p.m. rally in New Mexico around noon Saturday

At UNM's Johnson Field Saturday, the Obama campaign hopes to draw the largest ever crowd for a political rally in the state—about 30,000 people.

Supporters of Obama got there early to get a good view—about nine hours early for some supporters.

7. Only a few hundred people were on hand at the New Mexico state fairgrounds Saturday morning
. . . to hear McCain

ALBUQUERQUE, Oct. 25 -- Only a few hundred people were on hand at the New Mexico state fairgrounds Saturday morning to hear Sen. John McCain's acknowledgment that "we're a few points down" in the polls and to cheer loudly when he bellowed, "We've got them right where we want them!"

2. Man. he's tired.
He looks like he's carrying the burden of the entire world on his shoulders.

Umm. Come to think of it, he is.

5. Take a good look
while he's still solid and hale. He'll be a withered stick by the end of next summer. The man has a mother of a job ahead of him.

6. Indeed.
But there is no one else I'd rather see take on these problems.

13. He's been impressive so far
He's really an improbable candidate -- his political trajactory is dizzyingly steep, he's a Democrat, big city urbane, and half black. He explains more than he preaches and he doesn't demagogue. Yet he's out-maneuvered, out-organized all his opponents, swiftly defused burgeoning political trouble, and did it all with a sort of steadfast ease, never betraying tactical urgency.

And he managed to give Pat Freakin' Buchanan the happy squirmies with his convention speech :D

I imagine Molly would say Obama has more than a bit of Elvis.

8. Yes, he looks exhausted
I really hope he can get some decent sleep as soon as this is all over, but with his Grandmother so ill that probably won't happen for a while either. My heart goes out to this whole family.
