Lockdown, drug search ... dismiss rumors of drug problem (at high school)

Police officers with 15 drug-sniffing dogs searched Andover High School Friday morning, Oct. 24, as part of a surprise lockdown that Principal Peter Anderson says was meant to show there is not a drug problem at the school.
Marijuana was found in one student’s car, outside of the high school, leading to the student’s arrest and a charge of possession of a class D drug with intent to distribute, said Andover police Lt. Commander James Hashem.
Principal Peter Anderson said he and police Chief Brian Pattullo had talked about conducting the drug search for some time.
“Both of us are tired of hearing rumors, innuendo and gossip that there are great numbers of students using drugs at the high school campus. We were both growing weary about those kind of reports,” said Anderson. “We found our theory to be correct.”

That however, is not the fun part. Read the comments:

"The "drug sniffing dogs" were sniffing out peanut butter jelly sandwiches, and they somehow missed dozens of cars in the parking lot with paraphenlia and illegal substances."

"I know for a fact those dogs missed so much in the school and there is no way the classes were searched randomly. Anyone the police thought to be suspicous the dogs came to their class. Why didn't any of the AP classes get searched? and it mostly occur in level 2-3 classes. Certain indivual's were being picked out and the police were looking to see if they had things."
