No more Reagan Democrats ....
The term we will hear for the next 25 years is "Obama Republicans" -- a coveted group for all Democrats running for office in the future.

The term shall apply to people who registered as republicans in the last 20 years and who are

a) educated
b) believe in a progressive and fair tax system
c) believe in a trickle-up economics
d) are afraid of fundamentalist religion
e) believe in diplomacy over war
f) have no need to be gun-nuts to compensate for testosterone deficiency
g) think abortion is not government's business
h) have respect for strength in diversity, tolerance and inclusiveness
i) who believe in free trade which is fair to both parties

Obviously they exist as we can see from the polls.

Let the term get concretized in American politics.

2. End To Racism.
The demographic is changing under our feet, and those that teach it to their children will become a minority in this country.

I believe we are making a first step in electing a man that moves in many circles, one whose success can be claimed by ALL races.

5. In what way?
I see racism as a tool of the wealthy to promote class warfare among the working class, so we won't see the real war that's being waged.

6. there's too much racism out there
and it will take the death of more than one generation to get rid of it.

We are getting better, but we are nowhere near "there" yet.

7. I think it is generational and the real hard core are dying off in droves from old age
I am definitely noticing this.

8. I hope that this is the start of a political process that will be one of inclusion
We as a nation are moving to a state less dominated by one racial group; I've seen some statistics that put whites in this country, taken as a whole against all other racial groups, as a numerical minority somewhere between the years 2040 and 2050.

Political power will shift accordingly, as economic power is increasingly shared among different races instead of being concentrated in one.

But, by no means are we 'there' yet. But I believe we just may be on the path to get 'there' one day.

3. I was just talking about this with a friend of mine --
that this election can provide the kind of paradigm shift that the Reagan Democrats did -- but instead of voting against their economic interests the way the Reagan Democrats did, this new group will vote against their perceived party affiliation, FOR their interests. And they will be rewarded.

10. I do figure when this group dies off
then we'll see the average upper end of the racism level to be down to the Archie Bunker/Fred Sanford types. Sure, there will be still plenty of wackjobs but the main group will be watered down to prejudiced rather than overtly racist.

It'll take several more generations to reach balance but by the grace of God we will get there.
