4. McCain scary, but Palin scarier
McCain is a hawk and is power hungry but Palin is an idiot, a demagogue, and a religious fanatic. With McCain we have the old cold war mentality but with Palin we have the extremist Cheney mentality with the Bush stupidity.

7. Palin is only a few years older than I am, and I'm terrified to
think she's going to be hanging around for DECADES!!

Of course, a big embarrassing loss next month might sink her career. I certainly hope so. Maybe she'll decide to go back to being a hacky mam.

21. I hope you are right.
I also hope that the ultra right wing of the party splinters and fractures such that they become irrelevant. Their brand of ignorance has been so damaging to this country over the last few decades since Nixon started to court them. They have allowed themselves to be used by the neocons who have no religious scruples but want only power. They two together have really sunk this nation into the ground. We need to come to a place where religion guides the individual to make choices for their own life and does not impose itself into the lives of everyone around them.

It would be great if Palin went home after loosing the election, to find that she was being impeached for abusing her office as well.

8.  A President Palin just plain flat out TERRIFIES me.
She would be a catastrophe. We would long for W. if she, God forbid, became POTUS. It would be the end of America and the free world. Catastrophic might be an understatement. Apocalyptic is more like it.

9. They're both frightening but for different reasons
With McCain, it's mainly his temperment. He would be worse than W at diplomacy, if that's possible. I'd disagree with him politically regardless but that's the worst of him, and it's really scary.

But with her, it's her psycho opinions and ideas, and her lack of intelligence. Can you imagine her as president? I shudder at the thought.

Anyway, she scares me more, but they're both bad.

10. McLame has been around a while and he is "street wise" in big league politics.

Failin' is a relative newbie and her blind ambition will
allow her to be talked in to anything on her upward climb.

11. McCain, until Nov. 5. We still have an election to win.
I think Palin is a fascist, but there are many Rethuglicans who will join with Palin in feasting on McCain's carcass, then turn on her.

18. Picture Palin's America
Edited on Sat Oct-25-08 06:51 PM by LoveIsNow
We'd go back to the days of wire hanger abortions, sodomy laws, imposed religion in the schools, and the rest of the world would just laugh us out of the global community leading to that moment of moments when her bitchiness kicks in and she decides to press the red button and ...

BOOM!!!

Game Over

(That's not saying that I want to give McCain any nukes either, though)

19. I sincerely hope that Palin has raised the general awareness of
the danger we face from within from "Christian" extremists and the danger they are to the world community.

I am rooting for blowback even for all the damage caused by the Religious Rightwing.

20. Not even close
I'd hate the direction McCain would go, but he would at least be a functional president. Palin has no regard for rules or law of any kind. She's already talking about over-stepping the bounds of vice-presidential duties. The only bright side is that she would rush to do something impeachable and have a short run.
