Wife reports McLame road rage
Just walked in the door. Wife has one sticker on her car, "He's not my president." As she's coming home from the store, a subaru pulls into the lane next to her and the passenger start flipping her off and screaming at her. They pull in front to reveal - McCain | Palin 2008 stickers all over the back of their car.

We've noticed this a lot this year, especially when she's alone or with the kids. I look like an angry old school biker, so I very rarely get the road rage punks. But apparently my wife is not threatening to these little shits and so they feel empowered to attempt to bully her.

It's getting ugly out there!

2. ugh. Sorry to hear that. She has a big dent in the back of her car where
someone kicked at the bumper sticker. It happened shortly after she put the sticker on her car in 2004. Since then, other mysterious dents started appearing...and not what you would expect of door dings, either.

15. Not too long ago i saw one of those "shoot a liberal" bumper stickers
on a car, here in Seattle. We've got our share of jerkwad cons encroaching on our territory.

6. Pretty atypical for Subie owners to be REPUGs... at least in CO,
it has awlays seemed to me.... Although maybe, just more likely to be along the front range and Denver Metro...

10. Yeah, normally, I see McLame stickers on those MASSIVE, newer extended pick-ups
I've seen more Obama on the old fords and chevy trucks around here...but the new ones - almost always McLame.

7. I don't advertise
In the 2000 election I had a Gore sticker and someone keyed "Bush" on my trunk lid. My wife once had someone angrily confront her in a rest area over a pro-abortion sticker. We just stopped putting them on our cars. We can do more for a cause or candidate by donating time and money than fighting with ignorant assholes on the road.

9. I understand the sentiment
but when I feel like I live in a nation in which it is not safe for me to show support for a mainstream presidential candidate, that's when the police need to start arresting the thugs.

11. And these guys claim to be the party of family values. I wonder
if they teach their children than vandalism is okay in the eyes of Jeebus?

14. Pro-abortion?
I've never seen a "pro-abortion" sticker. Pro-choice, absolutely. What did it say?

20. I was having a Joe Biden moment
yes it was a "pro-choice" sticker :) I don't recall what it said exactly but it wasn't subtle. Something like "if you don't want an abortion don't have one" My wife is not one to be subtle when it comes to her political views.

Her current and only bumper sticker says "what if the hokie pokie really is what it's all about?"

8. Someone stole my yard sign yesterday
they had to work at it, too, because it was right up against my mailbox in the middle of a rose bush. I've had the sign up since April.

desperation in action.

13. Yup - desperation all over. They know it's all over for them and they are
just throwing tantrums like spoiled 4 year olds.

12. It is ugly out there.
I had a group of young women - probably 18, 19 or so - pull up next to me in a white BMW, and start yelling "Nobama" and "You suck."

I just smiled at them.

However, it can also be good.
I have a lot of people stop and talk to me at gas stations, regarding any of my multiple stickers.
Most of those conversations go well, and sometimes I get that feeling that - at the very least - I've given someone something to think about.

17. I've got news for folks who vandalize cars.
Mini-surveillance systems are very affordable, and you never know when the car you vandalize has one. Oh, until the cops show up and serve you with a warrant, that is. :-)

And if something like this happened where I work, not only would there be criminal charges, but the person would also lose his or her job. The company has a zero tolerance policy on parking lot vandalism.

18. Here's my story
I was buying wine in the hood a few Sundays back and I was wearing my old white Obama button on my jacket. A well-coiffed twenty-something guy in line says to me, "Do I have to be subjected to that?" For once I replied without missing a beat, "I was subjected to Bush for 8 years, you can live with my button for a few seconds."

By the way, it will get very ugly.

19. I Cut Off Every Car I See On The Highway With A Bush Cheney Sticker.
I love doing it!

Sure, it makes me an immature prick, but I enjoy it anyway. Course, I feel more justified in why I'm doing it then for why they're doing it, but just had to admit that it ain't just the other side that does it.
