Does the Republican Party want McCain/Palin to win?
Edited on Sat Oct-25-08 11:43 AM by caty
McCain made such a huge blunder in choosing Palin. I think the repubs are terrified he might win, just as we are. Their reputation is already in the dumpster. If they win, they will only screw things up even more. More war---more economic disaster---more separation between Democratic and Republican citizens. It would be the death of the Republican Party. I think they are hoping Obama wins so they can cut their losses and find some way to rebuild their reputation. What they didn't realize is that when they ruined the reputation of the USA, it came to follow that they ruined their reputation also.

1. The RNC sure as hell ain't fully supporting McSame....maybe their smarter
than we think....they can't blame the democrats this time around, but in 4 years they can blame everything on them - even if things get straightened out in 4 years. Come to think of it, Nah...that's just crazy talk!

2. I always thought that McCain was this decade's Bob Dole.
Palin is obviously being vetted as a potential for 2012. Hopefully, her brand is damaged irreparably. She should ge back to beauty pageants or newscasting, something she is apparently moderately qualified for.

But hey, if she was on the top of a ticket, it would/should be an easy election to win.

video of Palin's mistakes that would be used against her if she did decide to run. She would be one of the first to get voted out.

5. Of *course* they do.

They know that a McCain Administration means four more years of cover for the Republican orgy of cronyism. They don't want the gravy train to stop, even if they don't think much of the conductor.

Their "reputation" only suffers if they lose. If they can take the election, they can pretend that nothing's wrong.
