Joe the Bummer starts hedging his bets
Lieberman: Obama Is Ready To Be President*
By Mark Pazniokas on October 24, 2008 8:06 PM

Sen. Joseph Lieberman isn't switching camps, just because he wouldn't say Friday that Barack Obama is unprepared to be president ...

But what about Sarah Palin? Is she ready to be president on day one?

"She's not going to have to be president from day one, because McCain is going to be alive and well. I've been talking to actuaries and doctors," Lieberman said. "He can be expected to live to his mid-80s and probably longer."

When pressed about when she would be ready, Lieberman replied, "Well, let's hope she never has to be ready" ...

1. Too Late Loserman, you cast your lot with McCain and you're stuck with him
and don't come crawling back to the Democratic caucus after we pick up 8 or 9 seats.

3. The absolute best scenario would be, once McCain loses, is for
Joe & John to resign their Senate seats, and haul ass to Alaska with Palin. It's just too bad that Joe's seat wasn't on the chopping block this time around, I think Ned Lamont would have taken it with ease.

7. I still have a real funny feeling about Lamont losing that contest.
I saw a debate with Leiberman, Lamont and some others I can't remember, moderated by Bob Scheiffer.

Scheiffer fucked up Lamont's name when announcing the canidates. Called him 'Jim' Lamont, or some such thing. The look on Lamont's face gave me pain. I wanted to strangle Scheiffer. Nice preparation job there, BOB. What the FUCK was that about.

But, bottom line: the people of Connecticut fucked us on that one. For shame. I'm sure they won't make that mistake again.

12. He Played His Union Card
For many years, Traitor Joe has had strong relations with the big labor unions and they came through big time for him in the '06 general. Lamont hurt himself with coming off a bit strident and "airlifting" in support...standing on the victory platform with Al Sharpton didn't go over too well...in the end he didn't have the organization and cash Traitor Joe did.

Joe's future is being a backbencher...he's burned too many bridges and should the Democrats gain seats in the Senate, he'll be stripped of his committee chairmanships.

11. I know a few languages. Here's my translation:
Oh, no, do you mean I might REALLY have to give up my committee chairmanship?

Come on, guys, it was all a joke, OK?
