1. This is what worries me.

Why would anyone who plans to vote be independent at this point? The differences between Obama and McCain are so clear. Obama is unmistakably better suited for the presidency in every respect.

I do not believe that there is a person left in these United States who is unable to decide between McCain and Obama -- at least no person who care enough to bother to vote. I suspect that self-styled "independents" at this point are mostly Republicans whose gut tells them McCain lacks the temperament and judgment to be president, but whose prejudices will never let them vote for Obama.

Maybe these "independents" just won't vote. That is our best hope at this point, because people who are going to vote for Obama have made up their minds. Why would anyone stay on the fence on this one?

2. Strangely enough, I'm registed as an Independent.

In primary elections in Massachusetts, Independents can take their pick of R or D ballots. I've taken R ballots in the past to vote against Mitt the Shit.

In General Elections, I vote Democratic with the exception of my piece of shit congresscritter, Steven J. Lynch.
