TONIGHT - Moyers talks to James K. Galbraith, author of The Predator State (abandoning free markets)
PBS - check local listings for times.

With the economy still weighing heavily on Americans' minds, Bill Moyers gets context on the financial crisis, the bailout, and the road ahead from James K. Galbraith, the Lloyd M. Bentsen Chair in Government and Business Relations and Professor of Economics at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin. Galbraith has authored several books, most recently THE PREDATOR STATE: HOW CONSERVATIVES ABANDONED THE FREE MARKET AND WHY LIBERALS SHOULD TOO.

Then, Bill Moyers sits down with Mark Johnson, co-director of the film PLAYING THROUGH CHANGE: PEACE THROUGH MUSIC and chairman of the board of the Playing for Change Foundation, which he started to provide resources to musicians and their communities around the world.

And, Bill Moyers on the news you may have missed.

3. Were you surprised by Galbraith's dismissal of the deficit? I was
shocked but it didn't seem to concern him much. I liked that he and others (Corzine) are looking for ways to help the troubled mortgage market as in lowering the interest rates and re-negotiating the mortgages one by one. Seems sensible to me.
