For Plame and Wilson it ought to be Sharon Stone and William Macy.

The one I can't figure out is, who play him...

But I do have at least one solid candidate...

8. Saying someone should play themselves takes all the fun out of these threads
And who cares what Sharon Stone's politics are? She's a dead ringer for Plame.

11. Sorry, didn't mean to be a downer
I haven't been so excited in a loooong time. :woohoo: I guess watching the live story unfold is much more satisfying to me that thinking about actors who might play Plame in the movie.

9. I swear - some guys would pick Sharon Stone to play Mother Teresa!
Edited on Fri Mar-16-07 12:32 PM by Divernan
Yes, Ms. Stone is very hot; and yes, she's the object of your fantasy - but I don't think Ms. Plame achieved her professional status/job by spreading her legs for a camera, and I'd like to see an actress who has demonstrated her acting talents without the soft porn angle, PLUS some activism on behalf of social and/or political issues cast for the role.
Re: the Basic Instinct scenes:
Several better known actresses of the time such as Geena Davis, Michelle Pfeiffer, Meg Ryan and Julia Roberts turned down the part mostly because of the nudity required. In the movie’s most notorious scene, Tramell is being questioned by the police and she crosses and uncrosses her legs revealing the fact she was not wearing any underwear.

6. Joe Wilson should be played by Clooney.
I agree with Sharon Stone as Valerie. Robert Novak should be played by a padded Billy Bob Thornton. George Tenet should be played by George Tenet - maybe we can finally get some info from him.

14. Jeri Ryan, maybe? If you listen to Valerie's voice without seeing her
And then listened to Ryan in her non-Star Trek roles, sounds like a dead ringer

and abused by a powerful republican member of government? Good choice. :) Getting her the role would resurrect that sordid tale.

And she's of the right age and currently cast in the role of a highly intelligent woman.
