The reason Powell's endorsement, PLUS all these major newspaper endorsements HUGELY help Obama ...

... is that McCain/Palin campaign's outrageous scare tactics, lies and fear-mongering about Obama's
supposed "terrorist" ties, or Obama being a scary "communist-leaning socialist", etc. are being
quietly (drip, drip drip ... one mainstream newspaper Obama endorsement at a time) put to bed in the
public mind. This is exposing McCain/Palin in stark relief to be peddling the same old "over the line"
smarmy baseless attacks that have led America down the wrong path ... voters have learned over the past
eight years not to trust such scurrilous distortions and are wising up.

HINT: Colin Powell and Mainstream American newspapers are NOT, I repeat, are NOT noted for endorsing
"terrorists" or "communists" and such.. American voters get this, even if only on an unconscious level.
Obama is emerging during these last days of the campaign, not as the "scary" choice, but as the "safest choice"
for the nation. Increasingly, I think most voters are gagging on these McCain/Palin lies and smears, and they
are actually helping Obama, especially in light of Powell's and virtually every major newspapers' endorsements
this week.

I shudder to think of the torturous levels of cognitive dissidence that must be going on in the GOP/McCain camp
about now, as they watch their disgraceful ad campaign blowing up in their faces..
