An idea for DU action .... clearing house for interstate cooperation

As but an example ..... we're in Maryland. Not much to do here except vote. The only election of consequence is our Congressman, and he's as safe as any I could imagine.

So that leaves us with nothing to do on election Day after we vote. In years past, we worked with the local party to get out the vote and walk precincts on election day. But this year is so critical, that maybe our time and effort is better spent out of state.

Northern Virginia is easy for us to get to. Southern PA is and hour or so further, but not impossible. But we don't know who to contact or how to even get word of where help might be needed.

I bet many other DUers are in similar circumstances .... and if not across state lines, maybe from one CD to another.

Can DU serve in any way as a clearing house to match helpers with those needing help?
