YES!!!!! My mom voted for Obama today!

As some of you may know, I have expressed concern/disdain that my 85 y/o life-long democratic mom was going to 'stay home' this election b/c she couldn't quite bring herself to vote for a 'black man', and she certainly couldn't vote for mcCain.

Well, she filled out and mailed her absentee ballot today, and asked me to check it beforehand that she'd done all the procedures correctly so that it wouldn't be discounted, and she voted for BARACK OBAMA!!!

She said that, "Obama is clearly the best man for our country".....and left it at that!

YEAH, MOM!!!!

and didn't want to influence her that I didn't say much at the time....I just wanted to make sure that 'voting procedure' was followed.

She's 83 years old. So did I and my son. Three votes for Obama here. They're in the mail and on their way.

6. Some may discount this thread, but truly it's important, because it was a

LIFETIME of being served up racism that I was taught (by my mother and father ~ more or less ~) and that is dying away.
