I feel so left out and shunned.
Like a red-headed stepchild.
Alabama is one of the die-hardest red states.
Maybe the reddest.
So they don't write, they don't call, no TV commercials...from either side.
:-(
Oh, they still ask for money.
Both sides.
All the time.

Damn it, if you want my money you're gonna have to entertain me.
A little bit, anyway.
Dinner and a movie?
You don't have to kiss me on the mouth.
At least not on the first date.
;-)

4. The visits are nice, but the commercials are horrible.
I'm looking forward to NOT being a "battleground" state for a while. Maybe I can watch the morning news again.

Edited on Thu Oct-16-08 04:41 PM by SoCalDem
We rarely ever get political commercials..although Charles White writes to me daily, and routinely begs me to vote for him (city council)

5. I'm there with you trof
Oklahoma is so "in the bag" for McCain they don't need to be here and Obama has to fight for votes in swing states. And you're right, they still call for money.

19. Ditto...
we're not going to make a difference in the election AND we still have Tom Coburn. Bleh.
Oh well, at least it's cheap living and unless OU closes it's doors I still have a job.

McCain ad, I will go stark raving mad.

12. Quiet in NY
except for the event in Long Island last night. But everyone saw that. However, since we are next door to PA we get invitations to come and pull the wool from their ears and the blinders from their eyes..

16. Go to my.barackobama.com and find some kindred spirits.
Or www.moveon.org.

I'm not in a swing state, I'm in a blue state - we party, we canvass, we watch the debates, we have fundraisers, we make phone calls, we have postcard parties...

You just need kindred spirits.

17. I only see Obama or McCain commercials when I watch nationwide cable shows.
I never see them here locally. Oh, I stopped answering calls from numbers I don't know a LONG time ago. I donate to the local Democratic party and that's it.

21. Probably the little black number with the spaghetti straps.
And a pair of Naughty Monkey Double Dare black pumps.

"We sold our Governor a pair of red Double Dare Naughty Monkey shoes a couple of weeks ago. She just wore those shoes as John McCain announced Governor Sarah Palin from Alaska as his vice president running mate. Although not everyone agrees with her politics, everyone can agree that she wears “sexy shoes.”

24. Just WHAT demographic is targeted by a name like "Double Dare Naughty Monkey"???
(Sheesh!) I'd be embarrassed to be seen carrying the bag. And I'm a fella that has never been embarrassed to buy tampons and 'feminine' products for female members of my household.

20. Oregon don't get no love, either.
Nobody comes to visit us. It's too obvious that Obama will win Oregon.
McCain takes the hint, he knows we don't want him.
Obama knows we're head over heels for him, even though he's out flirting with Virginia.

;)

26. I live in Illinois. Why the heck is Obama buying ads here?
In Chicago no less, not more than twenty miles from Obama's home.

Shunning Alabama and smothering Illinois? What's wrong with this picture.
