Been doing some more checking on the Obama/Noose creation, and it seems that the posting is still up where it was originally posted (http://www.politicalbyline.com/2008/10/12/enough/) and even worse than still being up, the poster IS PROUD of it! As to some of his other rantings, yes the Secret Service has been notified about the creation...what if anything they will do other than be AWARE OF IT is, and may remain unknown. What is absolutely clear, is that Senator McCain, if he has any honor at all, will rebuke the post, the picture and its creator in a very PUBLIC FASHION. 11. the feds rarely "publish" what they do about these cases

they question the offenders and determine the severity of the threat on a public servants life. i received a visit many years ago over a "problem i had with a draft board..i received a call for the fbi and he determined that i was`t a "threat" and the police chief grew up with my dad.

when reagan visited the ss/fbi arrived a week before his visit and questioned several people ..one loud mouth drunk was questioned and released.

they determine the severity and whether the offender has the means to carry out the threat.

I have stood silently and have tried to keep out of this foray as much as I possibly could.

But I cannot any longer. It seems that there are some on the left, who seem to think that it is cute to make graphics about punching Sarah Palin in the Mouth. (Hat Tip to Michelle)

It also seems that some think it is cute to make bumper stickers saying, “Abort Sarah Palin”.

On the other hand, I did scold John McCain a bit for whipping his crowds up in to the frenzy and then confronted with the more ugly aspects of that frenzy, he sought to quell it.

However, it seems that there are those on the left, who want to turn this into an ugly election about race. I say, let us give them what they want. Seeing Obama’s Black friends are trying to compare John McCain to a highly racist Alabama Governor from the 1960’s.

They want racism? It does seem that way. Since the left wants to make nasty drawings of violence towards women, I figure it is only fair to do this.

I originally made this graphic a while back when this issue raised it’s ugly head before, but I quickly pulled it, because I felt I would be adding to the poison of the situation. But it has become clear that the left is not interested in running an honorable campaign, so, I think it is time to fight fire, with fire.

It shows three panels. In the first panel, is a drawing of Sarah Palin, with the word M.I.L.P. (which he delineates as Mother I'd Like to Punch). The second panel has the same drawing, and the third is Sarah Palin being punched and having her teeth knocked out. It's an ugly and brutal sentiment on many levels. The creator is one of those artists that seems to take great pride in offending, or at least sees it as a by-product of his goals:

"Aren’t you worried that your site will offend people?

...I don’t know what to tell you. Some things deserve criticism and debate. Furthermore, this is primarily a humour site. There cannot be humour without cruelty...."

So, if the story is true, the creator of the Obama picture was intentionally trying to be offensive to make a counter point. It seems like two people who just need to meet each other face to face with a bat and work out their issues, and leave the rest of us alone.

22. Well, I agree that he should have listened to his first insticnt,

as he tells it, and not further poisoned the debate. But it does alter it somewhat in that he didn't just come up with this out of thin air. Those chain of events need to be mentioned otherwise it seems as if you're cherry-picking aspects of the story.

It's really poor judgement on his part, but he also seems to know it's offensive and created it specifically for that reason. As opposed to someone that actually believes this should be Obama's fate. If he wandered into threatening a federal employee area willfully or out of ignorance, I don't know, and I doubt the Secret Service will care. And again, you may know more about this guy then I do, I'm simply going by what he himself wrote. I've never heard of this guy before, and hopefully won't hear from him again.

There are unfortunately many examples to choose from of people posting things that don't even have that awareness.

If you started to look at the multiple email addresses that this guy posts under, you would start to see what an asshole and dangerous fuck this guy is. His own email address is also used as his church's email address. (It is different than the one I posted above.) Start googling each bit of information that you get on this guy and you will see he is very active on multiple sites with multiple email addresses, and oddly, another of his email addresses is the official email address of his church.

I never brought you into this, you brought yourself. If you don't want to be involved, don't post on DU how we should leave you alone. I am going after this guy, not you. Don't click the DU link or especially comment if you don't want to be involved.

I have a huge problem with these racist posters and I might start to have a problem with you if you are suddenly asking not be involved when you were not involved in the first place. I posted this stuff, because I think the guy is dangerous, if you want to be included in that category, no prob. Otherwise, you weren't, "involved", why bring yourself into this?

I want that image OFF of DU because it will 'get around' and exacerbate a bad meme. It will contribute to the critical mass of hatred directed at one good man.
