Two readers with access to the Ohio voter file say that Joe Wurzelbacher's inluence on this cycle will be limited in one way: He doesn't appear to be registered to vote.

(And yes, the freelance opposition research on Joe began before the debate ended.)

10. I don't think he was a plant. Obama stopped in his neighborhood.

Our paper first mentioned him on Sunday when Obama canvassed the neighborhood in Holland Ohio. From what I found, I think the guy goes by his middle name which may explain them not finding a registration that matches for him.

I also think the plumber doesn't understand business and taxes.

And Samuel is also NOT a registered voter, at least not per the Ohio Secretary of State's website. If this is the right guy, he lives at 355 Shrewsbury Dr. in Holland, OH 43528 ... I think that's in Lucas County, but I also tried Wood County just to make sure I covered all the bases. The reason I think this is the guy is because this would be the neighborhood where Obama met him.

A couple weeks ago, my nephew proudly proclaimed to me that his vote would be going to McCain. When I asked why, his response was that "He couldn't be any worse than what we've already got." ???

I checked. He wasn't registered. I figure anybody that stupid shouldn't be voting anyway, so I "forgot" to mention it to him.
