Who thinks Joe the Plumber was a plant?
I remember thinking watching the video a couple of days ago that he seemed less interested in Barack's answer than goading him. He happens to be buying a business that makes $250,000 a year, coincidentally Barack's cut-off for tax policy rates, and as soon as Barack's talking he looks bored and is faking interest.

Now that McCain clearly zeroed in on that (who knew he used Youtube?!) and dwelled on it so long, I'm convinced.

1. Only if that plant was poison ivy.
I kept thinking over and over how flat mcRacist was falling whenever he brought up that Damned plumber. It looks like the majority agreed. :)

5. That's what I thought.
I thought Obama's answer about giving him a 50 percent tax credit when he initially covers his employees was the nuetralizer. Just like a lawyer in his timing.

Perhaps if he makes like a tree he will leaf.

8. I feel sorry for the intern that had to teach old man McSame how to surf YouTube.
Intern: "Ok, John, this is the mouse, and..."

McCain: "Mouse! Where?"

I: "No, no, it's just th..."

M: "There were lots of mice in my hole in Vietnam."

I: "Right, now if we can just get you back on topic, here..."

10. A lot of people would have to get into the idea that McLame, of the 17 houses
and 15 cars (or however-the-fuck many of each he has) hangs with a plumber and has economic discussions with him.

11. I do
And as a Plumber's son, let me tell you this much, most plumbers in any metro area usually make far less than 250 grand a year. As far as the business goes, maybe Joe could have asked why under McCain business would get taxed for medical coverage. Also, Joe, if you are going to run a business, you should know that the 5 grand that McCain would give you as a tax credit would not buy jack, especially if anybody has a pre-existing condition. There are many people who are richer than you, who have worked longer and harder than you, who had that one medical expense that made all those years of work evaporate quicker than any tax could do. My father worked with people who USED to have their own shop, but had to go back to being an employee thanks to medical expenses.

Also Joe, let me ask you this, if this economy keeps tanking because Wall Street continues to go crazy, do you think people will go to your plumbing business? I can tell you right now that people that would get the new fixtures and new toilets are not doing so. You do not make real money just by unclogging toilets, because people that would not have even touched a plunger five years ago are watching how to shows and buying plumbing snakes. Yes, like all plumbing, you get a core group, but now, that core group of customers is getting smaller, and as they have less money, they will often pass you up in favor of your competition. even if they have 1/3 the experience or skill you do. As credit dries up, so will the ability of customers to buy your services, and for that matter, your ability to keep your business properly stocked.

John wants you to think short term, but small business works in the LONG TERM. What good is a tax bracket if when you get your business, you can't afford credit, your customers cannot pay you, and the National Companies like Roto-Rooter open franchises in your town, filling your Sunday paper with coupons? They will take away your customer base that cannot afford quality work? Let's not even mention medical expenses, after all, John did not say that he would charge you for having a policy, and you know what the cost of NOT having a policy can be. If you don't, hang out at a bankruptcy court and talk to people who were just like you once, who were richer than you once, and listen as the creditors rip the flesh clean off their bones! If you are wanting to have a business, you are not trying to pour your blood into it, only to have a bunch of creditors waltz off with it, but THAT is the current environment, and for all of John's "maverick" talk, his decisions that he made in the senate helped make this environment. His deregulation encouraged wall street to manage their business with more recklessness than any plumber would manage their shop. Of course, the difference is, when a plumber's shop goes belly up, he goes broke, when a bank goes belly up, John says "the fundamentals of our economy are sound, and the taxpayers bail them out, just like they did when he was a member of the "Keating Five", a group of five congressmen so in bed with crooked bankers that even John himself says he will have an "asterisk" after his name. Dozens of banks went down because John allowed crooks to run the banks he was in charge of protecting. There are thousands of people today that STILL never got their money back from the banks John helped Wall Street ROB, and they never, ever will. Tell me, is that the guy you want to do business with?. Don;t get suckered...if you do..well, I know my Dad cannot hire anyone now.

12. I do.
Although, whether the campaign had anything directly to do with the guy doesn't matter.

I am certain he listens to hate radio.

He'd make a good Hutu.
