if our taxes (corporate & personal) are so damned high why don't we have a decent social welfare system like most European companies. If McCain wants to hold another country's tax rates up as a shining example, Obama should talk about how that country spends it's tax money. Maybe it's cheaper to take care of the population than to take care of Bushco's friends with no bid contracts.

Keep that fact handy next time some conservative brings up how high corporate taxes are. Also mention that we lost a record number of jobs overseas during that time period when they say lower taxes will keep jobs in the US.

4. the argument is strange

He says businesses will move to Ireland? Will their employees go with them? If he's talking about people living here and basing their companies in other countries, just to get better tax-rates, well that should be illegal. Can't have your weed and smoke it too. If Americans move to Ireland, taking their businesses with them, for no other reason than lower taxes... good riddance.
