Victoria Toensing will be testifying at the Plame hearing....
Scheduled to testify Friday were attorney Mark Zaid, who has represented whistle-blowers; attorney Victoria Toensing, who said early on that no law was broken and has criticized the CIA's handling of the case;

Maybe they'll bring up Toensings chummy relationship with Bob Novak or how Vicky made her career on the back of the Clinton Impeachment?

Here's a couple of good links that discusses the partisan hack, Toensing.

1. Does Toesings have some sort of official role or did the GOP just
want a cheerleader voicing their side at the hearing?

2. It might be a good thing.
If the democrats are serious, they have the ability to confront her on the lies that she has been spewing. In fact, they have the option of asking her about her agenda, including her connections to the people who were involved in the operation to damage Joseph and Valerie Wilson.

3. The media matter link ties her with Novak .....

They're simply this elite little circle of friends who have shaped the discourse of America the last several years. They've been playing most of the Morans in this country for a long long time and me-thinks their shelf life is about to expire.

They ought to hit her hard on the OP-Ed she wrote in the WAPO while the Libby jury was in deliberations.

5. She is a bit
above crusty Robert Novak on the scales of the republican machine. The op-ed from the Washington Post is a wonderful target, if the democrats are serious .... folks like Larry Johnson have outlined its errors and outright lies.

8. I'm surprised she accepted
and will take the risk of a serious, vigorous, agressive cross-examination by a knowledgeable democrat....

:hi:

some republican leaders have asked her to try to throw some sand in the umpires' eyes.

10. don't forget that most of them are too brainwashed
to think that they are anything but right. I go back and forth on this, and I do think some of them don't believe as much as they are just whores, but I honestly think that anyone still carrying water for these crooks is a full-on kool aid drinker.

4. ... actually she first tasted 'fame' ...
... on MSNBC during Geraldo's nonstop OJ-gasm in 94/95-ish.
Her husband - Joe Di Genova - was a frequent 'legal consultant' too.

:wtf:

7. Wasn't she involved in writing the laws concerning outing of CIA
personnel? I know that Vicky and Repubics view her as some type of an expert on matters of national security.

I don't remember the exact details but remember her spewing over and over on every network that "she helped write" something about the laws that "protected" Scooter, KKKKarl from legal jeopardy for outing a CIA agent. They committed no crime has been her mantra and the only person that the Repubics could find that was still willing to go under oath and lie her ass off for Chucklenuts and The Cabal.

Hope the Dems slap her down very, very hard.

11. She was.
It's important to recognize that while the media was focused largely on the law regarding the outing of a covert agent's identity -- which VT had a role in writing -- the Agency was concerned about more than that single potential infraction. Evidence of this is found, among other places, in one of Mr. Fitzgerald's court filings that specifies one of the espionage laws. As always in intelligence matters, it is not only a question of "what?" .... but also "why?" And, indeed, the law that VT helped write was not intended to deal with an organized effort on the part of the Office of the Vice President to expose a CIA NOC .... that law was focused primarily upon those who had some previous association with the Agency. The Plame scandal is far closer in nature to the neocon/AIPAC espionage scandal, in that a cell of people from inside the executive branch coordinate an intelligence operation with "private citizens" ("journalists" and "lobbyists" with intel backgrounds/connections) that harms the USA.

12. I saw her outright lying on Wolf's show. To his credit, he called her on a couple of things.
I wonder if she will be so brazen as to lie through her teeth at the Plame hearing?
