Does Anyone Here Follow the Illuminate...
Masonic, conspiracy stuff. I got caught up watching videos concerning the NWO (New World Order) and I find myself mildly amused while being mildly scared.

Anyone else follow this stuff?

2. Well,
I am open minded about the Illuminati. If I watch/read/investigate too much, I get overwhelmed and feel like killing myself. :(

6. I've seen a couple of the videos and they made me laugh.
Did you see the one with all the rich guys standing around in robes in front of a giant owl? I have no doubt that this actually happens. Rich powerful people like to do all kinds of weird things for laughs. This doesn't mean that they're part of a New World Order.

On the other hand, the corporatists really are taking over the world. They don't need the owl statues.

13. The Giant Owl is in Bohemian Grove
It's not part of the Illuminati, but it's very real and it has a lot of top politicians, businessmen, and celebrities. There's inevitably a lot of hobnobbing going on, but it's not an organized conspiracy. The secret society trapping are kind of a spoof.

Spy Magazine had a great investigative article in the late 80s/early 90s by a writer who managed to sneak into Bohemian Grove and socailize with some of the attendees. He even managed to talk with Reagan and cofirmed the existence of a private deal Reagan made with Pat Brown.

15. Yeah, I knew that. The Illuminati video I saw featured shots from Bohemian Grove.
The video claimed that BG was all part of the Illuminati takeover. I have no doubt that there is all kinds of insider trading and nefarious planning done at BG but it isn't quite the same as the video I saw claimed.

There was another video all about the design of the dollar bill "proving" that the Illuminati are taking over. It just threw together a lot of different things - Masons, Bohemian Grove, 19th century engraving patterns, etc. - and claimed it was all part of a New World Order. Very funny, actually - and holding more than a germ of truth.

Did you know that there is a tiny owl engraved on the dollar bill? It's the same as the big giant owl at BG! Run for the hiiiiiiils!

16. I Did Not Know There Was a Tiny Owl on the Dollar
Although looking at a bill it doesn't pop out.

I wonder if Obama will go to Bohemian Grove and if so whether anyone will know about it. That would be interesting.

Illuminati
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search

"Illuminata" redirects here. For the 1998 John Turturro film, see Illuminata (film). For other uses, see Illuminati (disambiguation).

Illuminati (plural of Latin illuminatus, "enlightened") is a name that refers to several groups, both historical and modern, and both real and fictitious. Historically, it refers specifically to the (Bavarian) Illuminati, an Enlightenment-era secret society founded on May 1st, 1776. In modern times it is also used to refer to a purported conspiratorial organization which acts as a shadowy power behind the throne, allegedly controlling world affairs through present day governments and corporations, usually as a modern incarnation or continuation of the Bavarian Illuminati. In this context, Illuminati is often used in reference to a New World Order (NWO). Many conspiracy theorists believe the Illuminati are the masterminds behind events that will lead to the establishment of such a New World Order. Confusing the issue further is the fact that there are also several modern fraternal groups which include the word "Illuminati" in their names.

In more rare cases, the Illuminati might refer to a gnostic elite who focus upon the belief that they are uniquely empowered by their enlightenment, similar to the intelligentsia classes of today they are empowered by their education and intelligence. These are people who consider themselves to have become illuminated and have achieved a far greater mystical understanding of the universe than the vast majority of the ignorant masses of the world. Many secret societies and mystical traditions are concerned with the attainment of this kind of illumination or enlightenment via occult practices, and with keeping its secrets to themselves and their initiates, such as the Rosicrucian Societies and Martinist Societies.<1>

10. what to believe...
On the internet, any asshole in the world can spew the most ridiculous bullshit imaginable. How do we know though, it is bullshit? Do we pull a religion, brokering our futures on faith?

11. Oyyyy
A nasty flu season could wipe out the Masons. Seriously. The average age is like 83. Any conspiracies you've heard involving them is a crock. They are a group of men who dress in tuxes once a month and do charitable work. Historically they are directly connected to the founding of this country and our government. They are not masterminding a world take over nor do they have the power they once did.

The Illuminati was a revolutionary periods group in Bavaria. In more recent days groups like the OTO have used the name. The OTO is not a group holding any sort of power.

14. If you're interested in the Illuminati and all the conspiracy that follows...
Read Dungeon, Fire and Sword and then Born in Blood by John J. Robinson.
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/ref=ntt_athr_dp_sr_1?_encoding=UTF8&search-type=ss&index=books&field-author=John%20J.%20Robinson

The first book is about the Knights Templars and the second is about the Masons. Its an incredibly interesting read that focuses on the real history of how the Templars ended up morphing into the Masons. The latter book also talks about the conspiracies and why they took form.

19. What about the other cards?
.
.
.

"As you can see from the picture above, one card shows the first Twin Towers of the World Trade Center being hit by "Terrorists" at the distance it actually occurred during 9/11 and another one shows the Pentagon in fire at is center, the rest being intact. As we know a plane allegedly flew into a section of the Pentagon and nearly burned that section completely. However, the rest of the Pentagon was undamaged to the point where its functions continued unimpeded.

Of course this could be a coïncidence. But strangely his company has been visited by the secret service on March 1 1990 as reported on their site sjgames vs. the Secret Service: "A large amount of equipment was seized, including four computers, two laser printers, some loose hard disks and a great deal of assorted hardware. One of the computers was the one running the Illuminati BBS".
