Milton Friedman is dead, long live MIlton Freidman
I wanted to learn more about who Milton Freidman fellow was and this is a bit I picked up from Wikipedia:

He argued that a steady expansion of the money supply was the only wise policy, and warned against efforts by the treasury or central bank to do otherwise.

Well, this worked out well. And Bernanke is still trying by lowering of the interest rate last week. You know if they lower it too much, money won't be worth anything at all.

Influenced by his close friend George Stigler, Friedman opposed government regulation of all sorts, as well as public schooling.

I don't like the sound of this. Now to find out who George Stigler is/was.

Perhaps it's time for this country to grow up.

2. He personally advised the Pinochet government in Chile
proof that "free enterprise" does not equate to personal liberty.

Interesting that the best lab to test his free market economics was a police state that murdered thousands of its opponents

4. Friedman should rot in hell
He was the CORE belief of the neocons and their shock doctrine. Unregulated markets to decide the best "social" welfare. But all his models are flawed.

He lent academic legitimacy to the belief in the markets. 100's of thousands paid for this with their life around the world.
