Political speech is (supposed to be) completely sheltered by the First Amendment
Should corporations -which emit "political" speech for money, often in a completely self-serving way- be held to a higher standard? Should all speech passing through a corporate "mouth" be treated as commercial speech?
How about organizations that aren't organized as corporations?
1. I don't think corporate entities should have the same rights as an individual
Corporations are legal fictions, created solely for the purpose of protecting investors. Allowing them to have the same political rights as real persons was, in my opinion, the worst blow to democracy ever landed in this country.
