These people, collectively, will be blamed for the routing the Repub party will face this year. After eight years of rudderless incompetence, they have created a campaign that is a magnified microcosm in eight whirlwind weeks. There's been no flip flopping. Oh no. That would be too complimentary a word. It is more like ricocheting. From one stupid gambit to another. The steel ball rolling around under the glass of a pinball machine. They are the 33-1/3 LP of the bush administration being played at 78 speed.

Their political demise will be swift and sure.

2. I've seen KKKarl Rove throwing McPalin under the bus on TV
on several occasions lately. I think he thinks they are amateurs and idiots.

3. Palin won't get blamed for jack by the "base"
She is their darling, she is "God's vessel." Palin will probably get a ghostwritten book deal from Regnery. Only way she gets "blamed" for anything is if moderate Republicans somehow manage to wrest control of the party away from the "base." Sadly, I don't think we will see the last of Caribou Barbie after November 2008.

McCain will be saddled with ALL the blame for the defeat by Republicans, you can take that to the bank.

Bush, Rove, and the others may take some heat for the economic mess, but they will not be blamed to the level they should.

4. I honestly think the 'base' to whom she appeals will splinter from the mainstream Repub party.
They keep coming to the table and never get served. It was Reagan who created the shotgun marriage of fiscal and social conservatives. They are completely different species and are just about **over** each other.

6. The base may not have a choice if the RNC washes their hands of her
If she becomes further toxic and remains too toxic, the RNC, which will be back to re-building their party won't give Palin the time of day.

I'm hoping the citizens of Alaska impeach her, or make her un-electable. I've this fear of her trying to run for a Congressional seat. I sure hope not. She's what is wrong with government.

5. And now, McCain threatens to unveil yet another switcheroo
in his economic plan at the debate. Where was he when the current economic blueprint was being drafted? If it takes him this long to come up with a plan on the economy, what kind of president would he make?

Obama was able to move in, take a basis that Bush and Paulson liked and adjust it so that it was more flexible and would comply more (although not entirely in my view) with the Constitution.

McCain is just all over the place when it comes to economics. What a mess he is. He has a messy mind.
