to make sure he is on God's side, and he definitely isn't. Praying to God to endorse your personal prejudices is definitely not the way to go. There are interesting theological implications as well as plenty of arrogance (does God really need Pastor Arnold's advice on how to 'guard his reputation'!) It sounds as though Arnold thinks there really are multiple Gods in the world (including one called 'Hindu'), and they are all fighting to be top-dog. Not, I think, one of the basic tenets of Christianity!
