<rant>

With all the polls showing a McPalin collapse and red states turning blue all over the place.

I was just wondering...

Is McPalin approaching "Krazy Katie" territory where Republicans run away and vote crossover?

It seems to me that coupled with the bad economy they are facing the erratic angry behavior of McCain and the insane things Palin has been saying and her Jerry Springer show family.

I believe that this is sending many of the non-rapturist and less racist Republicans who I would describe as "straight-laced buttoned down rank and file" screaming for the door to either sit this one out and not vote or vote for Obama out of fear of a McPalin administration.

I believe that we are seeing the "Krazy Katie" effect in the 2008 Presidential race.

For precedent, I cite the following:

Catherine Harris lost 62-38 here in Florida in '06 which meant a sizeable number of Republicans thought she was as Krazy Katie as we Democrats did.

I was told by quite a number of my Republican friends then that they were voting for Nelson because Harris was a nutjob.

We also had "Bathroom Bob" in Florida House District 32 who did his own Larry Craig impersonation and then made up racists excuses as to why. The Democrat who replaced him (Sasso) clearly got Republican support from disgusted Republicans who weren't going to vote Republican.

Same thing happened with Congressman Foley in South Florida.

Let me know what you think.

2. I'm thinking the same with Michelle Bachmann
I think she is such a looney tunes, her opponent Tinlenberg has a good chance here in Minnesota's 6th.
