Love this: Obama on Ayers... Links it to Ronald Reagan and conservatives: Run with this people!
Obama explained that after law school, he moved to Chicago, and met Ayres, who was a college professor, while "working on a school reform project that was funded by an ambassador and former close friend of Ronald Reagan's."

"I was sitting on this board with a whole bunch of conservative businessmen and civic leaders, and he was one of the people who was on this board. And he lives in the same neighborhood. Ultimately I learned that he was involved in this reprehensible act 40 years ago, but I was 8 years old at the time. And I assumed he had been rehabilitated."

"I've strongly condemned his actions. The fact that Sen. McCain wants to makes this the centerpiece of his campaign is pretty remarkable," Obama said. "... Nobody is suggesting that in any way the actions that this radical group back in the '60s did was the right thing to do."

"This guy is not part of my inner circle. He doesn't advise my campaign. He's not going to advise me as president. This is a red herring."

3. What?
Ayers fell in with Reagan's crowd and helped them destroy public schooling? Ayers, how fucking COULD YOU? I thought you were cool! The fact that Obama was friends with you was the only reason I even LIKED him! But, hey, Ayers, I guess you're just a CHICKENSHIT CONFORMIST like your dad!

Now I think the bastard wasn't even a radical to begin with. The prick was probably working for the FBI the whole time.

7. No, he's just a typical centrist

who associates with radicals only after they've sold out and become centrists themselves. I'll still vote for him to keep McSame out of office, but damn... for a few days there, I actually thought Obama had a cool friend. :(

On Edit: I don't know whether Ayers was a radical who sold out, or just a phony radical in the first place. Either way, he could learn a few things from the man quoted in my signature line. Though I don't always agree with Illich, I respect him because lived and died by his own principles, even forgoing surgery that could have saved his life because he didn't want to lose his ability to speak, and choosing instead to medicate himself with opiates.
