World's Leading Evangelist Says, "Absolutely"

FLORIDA, Oct. 10 /Christian Newswire/ -- In the past year, the Dow Jones has seen a thirty-five percent decline, resulting in a $10 trillion dollar loss. The current economic meltdown is affecting the lives of tens of millions of Americans. Bill Keller, the world's leading internet evangelist, contends that God is using the economy to judge this nation for its sins.

On May 2, 2008, Keller - founder of Liveprayer.com - told his 2.4 million daily devotional subscribers that God would use the economy as a form of judgment on the nation for its sins. And God did just that (video ref: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tc71qfmRv9I)

Keller claims that there are no man-made solutions to the economic problem because, at its core, the crisis is really a spiritual issue. This is why, Keller explains, the $700 billion rescue effort has not helped, nor, he says, will it ever help; the Federal Reserve buying unsecured corporate paper has not helped; the cutting of prime by half a point has not helped, nor have any of the other attempts by the leading economists in the nation to resolve the economic crisis we are currently struggling with helped.

"Sadly, people don't understand that the only answer is to turn back to God and biblical truths," says Keller. "This nation was once greatly blessed by God, but today we legally slaughter over four thousand innocent babies each day, we have made a mockery of God's holy institution of marriage, we worship every idol and false god man has ever created, and we live in total rebellion to God and his truth."

"God is a God of love, grace, and mercy, but he is also a God of judgment," Keller continues. "We spit in the face of God every day, and now we're simply reaping what we've sown."

"Many will dismiss the notion of God's judgment as the foolish talk of yet another religious kook," Keller goes on. "However, the Bible does say in 2 Corinthians 2:14, But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."

"The fact is, all of humankind's wisdom has been unable to resolve this economic crisis because the answer isn't a natural one...it is a spiritual one," explains Keller. "Unless this nation gets on its face before God, asks his forgiveness, and turns from its sins, I'm afraid we’ve only just begun to experience the wrath of God."

1. No, it's the ancient Roman gods

They've been biding their time, stewing, getting angrier at being neglected. And now they're giving us a warning.

That makes just as much sense as Keller's silliness.

4. Can I be the first to judge this as the foolish talk of yet another religious kook?
These hatemongers need to be taxed just like any other ponzi scheme that for some reason is allowed to exist.

Attach themselves like lampreys to any bad news that comes around. Think: flies swarming around a pile of dog tootsie-rolls.

8. Yes, I believe it to be true
Judging this poor country for having an idiot for president for 8 years and for even considering a moron like Palin and a washed up anger addict like McShame for president. If I were God that would piss me off!

9. Where does launching pre-emptive wars of empire fit in, Mr. Keller?
Seems to me that blowing through a trillion dollars to terrorize and vaporize a bunch of civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan might be against those iron principles of love, grace and mercy. Doncha think, Mr. Keller?

16. Yes, if I were to perceive God's hand in any judgment today, it would be for these crimes. . .
and not the acceptance of civil rights for all nor the granting of respect for love.

12. "Al Gore claimed to have invented the Internet"
Edited on Fri Oct-10-08 02:41 PM by Uncle Joe
That was the institutional wide corporate media propagated 24/7 *slander and libel for the better part of two years prior to the selection of 2000 that put Bush in the White House. The same Bush that claimed *Jesus Christ was the most influential person in his life during a debate, only to wage a war based on lies against a nation that never attacked us. The same "compassionate conservative" Bush that earlier made fun of an executed prisoner while he was Governor.

You reap what you sow and this bitter harvest is a direct result of the betrayal of the American People's interest by a usurper wrapped in the flag while hiding behind the cross.

*Of the Ten Commandments - "Thou shall not bear false witness".

as to WHICH sins, and also WHOSE sins. They might want to try looking in the mirror for a change.

... Acts Of God or "Natural Disasters" are events that are created by God in response to his disapproval of the sinful behavior of the Immoral Minority, weed out the unfaithful, or to test his children.
