October 8, 2008 – New York (apj.us) – Ever since Bush, Cheney, and Tony Scalia's Supremos stole the 2000 election, I've been making a strong point to friends, politicos and pundits.

I've been taking for the better part of the last eight years about the need for Democrats to talk tough, get tough, and go smashmouth – even in the face of tough uphill battles.

I'm with Gaudette. Kick the entire GOP -- especially John "Abe Simpson" McCain and Slick Sally Palin -- while they are down. This isn't about dirty tricks. This is about beating them with facts. Beating them down into the sewer where they and their base of bigots, superstitionists, and regressives belong. This is about hurting them politically for the next generation.

Beat them. Like a rented mule. Like a bad piece of cheap beef. Like a K-mart carpet. Like a red-headed stepchild. Now is the time.

Let them feel the hurt they need to feel.
