CNN Ohio focus group
Did anybody watch the post-debate segements with the group of undecideds? There were 25 in the group -- mix of repugs, Dems, indies. Majority thought Obama won, but when asked who they'd vote for if they had to vote today, 14 indicated they'd pick McSame. WTF?

I'm thrilled with the job Barrack did last night, but am a bit anxious over this focus group thing. Somebody please talk me down.

7. I saw that. But according to the graph thing, they liked what Obama said more than what Gramps said

3. Keep in mind that there is alot of "group think" going on in a setting
like that. If these people had been interviewed individually instead of in their group, I bet there would be different results. The same thing happens in committees, etc.

focus groups are not full of 'mavericks.' That's why focus groups cannot be taken at face value. Doesn't account for the lemming factor. We live in a society where conformity is rewarded.

But on the other hand...it's depressing to see ANY (intelligent?) people willing to say that Obama was best but they're still voting for McCain. At least they could register a firm "Not Sure."

Do these people REALLY think that McCain is different from Bush? Hard to believe.

4. Strange
I think most had in their minds already who they're going to vote for but lied saying their undecided. How can you agree with one candidate more but still vote for the other one unless you already have your mind made up.

6. Its the "My party, right or wrong" ....
Probably also a few fools who base their votes not on policies but preconcived notions and prejudges.

8. It's still about RACE here in the Buckeye state.
I run into people every day who feel the way those dopes on CNN did. It's probably easier for me to understand because I live here. Plenty of bigots and racists who know Obama would be the best president but they just "can't" vote for a (scary) Black Man. Head, meet wall.

We're working hard here in Ohio to GOTV and, for the first time ever, have early voting.

We also have a Dem SoS to keep the Repubs in line.

We almost pulled it off in 2004; we're going to win this time!

10. It's 25 people
There can be all sorts of random, unexplainable fluctuations in a group that small. There are plenty of organizations that poll the entire state with samples of hundreds of people. Look at those results instead.
